⭐️⭐️⭐️Essential information for UK hauliers issued by the DfT⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hauliers are being reminded of 2 important developments by the UK Government.

Drivers’ hours changes:

The EU drivers’ hours and tachographs rules will change on 20 August 2020.
Operators and drivers should review the changes to the current rules and prepare to comply from 20 August 2020.
Find out more about the new rules at https://www.gov.uk/drivers-hours/eu-rules
Full details of the guidance will be available through this link next week.
After reading the detailed guidance, if you still have any queries related to the changes, please contact enquiries@dvsa.gov.uk

Public Health passenger locator form:

This is a reminder of the UK Government’s measures to protect against the continued spread of Coronavirus.
Travellers entering the UK from outside of the common travel area must complete the Public Health passenger locator form unless exempt.
As a driver of a goods vehicle or other employee of a community licence holder for the international carriage of goods, you are not exempt from the requirement to complete the form.
You are, however, exempt from the requirement to self-isolate when arriving in the UK, regardless of what countries you have travelled from.
