A.I.M Commercial Services Ltd is a customer focused business that was initially set up as a Sole Trader in 2004 by Managing Director Allison Kemp. Primarily developed to provide support to local haulers in the form of a Tachograph Analysis Bureau and Road Transport Compliance Audit Systems, the business quickly developed to the point where it was offering training in Digital Tachographs and Drivers Hours.
In 2008 A.I.M Commercial Services Ltd registered as a Limited Company and by 2009 the company was recognised by JAUPT as an Approved Training Centre. In 2014 A.I.M was awarded a Grade One status from Oxford, Cambridge & RSA Examination Board (OCR) and have continued to keep these standards at Grade One year on year.
The company’s excellent reputation within the industry is as a result of the drive and determination of Allison Kemp. Allison is the third generation of her family to have worked in the industry and has personally worked in the industry for over 24 years therefore fully understands the ever-increasing demands on those who work in the sector. She regularly represents the views of local and national hauliers when she chairs the FTA Regional Meetings and attends the FTA National Council. Allison was also asked to become a fellow of the Institute of Couriers and was subsequently gowned in the House of Lords in February 2015. Following that she has most recently been awarded the 2019 Woman of the Year at the 2019 Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.
Alongside her, Allison has developed a highly experienced and dedicated team which provides the support and customer service that has resulted in the phenomenal growth of the company over recent years. As a result of this it was recognised that the company had outgrown its existing office location and in order to continue to grow and develop, a considerable investment was made to relocate the business to its current larger premises.
A.I.M Commercial Services Ltd now operates from a purpose built training and office facility in Ripley. From here it provides on-site training that will enable employees and employers to improve their skills and knowledge within the industry in addition to having the opportunity to learn valuable transferable skills. At the request of our customers, training can also be delivered at company premises and made bespoke to accommodate individual company operations.
To date there are 3 key divisions within A.I.M Commercial Services Ltd – Tachograph Analysis Bureau, Transport Compliance Division and the Training Academy. Across all areas our experienced teams take pride in providing their customers with a range of services tailored to meet the individual needs of each business.
